NSW 4 plant grow.

Hey guys.

I am keen to construct one of SS's grow wardrobes and would only be growing a max of 4 plants at once, for at least the first year. After reading through almost the entire Law forum im yet to find an article which is spacific about the the laws behind the 4 plant grow policy.

I thought I might try and give you the best details possible about my system so you can help answer them as best as possible.

 

So im going to be building a grow box with water pump (feeding system) and a 400 / 600 watt'r not too sure yet. Also using a Carbon filter as I live in an apartment building. I plan on Importing 10 seeds from Canada, not sure wether amsterdam or canada is better but they have given me confidence that every thing will go fine.

 

I just need to know

a) What kind of penalty im looking at for importing the seeds.

What kind of penalty im looking at for growing 4 plants using the above system (soil) if applicable with the system, ill have to ask ss.

c) and the next legal bracket above 4 plants, how many i can grow and what are those penaltys.

 

Just so you all know ill be sending it to an alternative adress, under another name before i have made the box to prevent casualty's

 

An accurate answer would be very much appreciated.

if it were 4 plants outdoors that wouldnt be that much of a big deal, but regardless of wether you are growing in soil or using hydroponics, in nsw anything under a light is counted as hydro if you have a clean record than if by some chance you are raided they'll take all your equipment, plants, buds, cash and anything else the theives want and they'll probably try and make you think you're going to go to court, put in prison and the works, but chances are you'll get a fine and community service at worst. well that is unless you make a mockery of the laws and have single plants that fill up an entire bedroom, its been done before and there was bugger all that could be done because 5 plants or over and you have to prove you're not dealing, 4 or under and its upto the police to prove that you are.

 

so 4 plants under lights will land you in trouble, hell a single plant will, but with 4 plants if you get busted its nothing unless you have a criminal record for selling drugs in the past. even then you can argue personal and unless the police have proof of you selling drugs you'll get a fine and some community service. although if you keep getting busted for growing pot they wont be so nice about it the second or third times even if you stay under 5 plants

 

as for seeds you will be importing a prohibited substance which counts as a federal crime if australia post end up delivering it. in most cases the seeds will arrive no problems and in some cases even when the seeds dont arrive nothing will come of it, not even getting a phone call. but then there are the times where the police show up with a warrent looking for more things to use against you thats why we are forever telling people to order seeds under a fake name to an address where nothing suspect is taking place. upon arrival you should write return to sender on the package and leave it on top of the fridge or something for a couple of weeks. if you get raided after the fact you can say that you were going to return the package and that you simply forgot about it as it out of sight it was out of mind. just remember to deny ownership and knowledge of the contents at all times and if you have followed everything we tell you about ordering seeds the police will have nothing on you and will be forced to set you free

Are you able to give me details on the next bracket, because i'm sure my new system will be more than capable to grow at least 12. plants so what would the penalty's be for that kinda of output, same senario. just more plants.

If u get that done with that many plants u will be charged as a supplier as they will say that is to many plants for perso use and then you have to prove that u are not selling it to make money, and instead of only being in shit up to your chest u will be in up to your nose and a lot harder to get out of...

Thanks guys.

I will be growing in an apartment block, first apartment, they will be checking the flat about every 3 months. Would you Recomend putting somthing like a sheet over the system and turning it off when it comes to inspection.

As for smell. im going to buy a carbon filter but i really cant have any smell at all as the place is all carpet and it will stick like glue.

Perhaps getting a bit of vent tubing and running it out the window? Its on the water so no one can see it from the street. maybe the beach but im not to worried about neighbours. Or should i just let the filtered air go back into the apartment.

 

As for if the agent suspects it, can they tell the cops and organize a warrent without me knowing?

 

And do you guys have any tips for inspection time or being super discrete?

If a estate agent sees or even thinks u are growing they will will give you up full stop, and before u know u will have the coppers at ya door.

 

If you are going to grow in a old wardrobe all u have to do is turn it off and hide anything that is on the out side of the robe as they are not aloud to look in side robes, with smell if u are using a carbon filter there should be no smell but once the fan stops the smell can leach out of the grow area so if u keep your fan running through the carbon filter all the time there will be very lil to no smell and venting out a window is the way to go...

There wont be much smell if im venting directly back into the room?

Do you personaly think its less Sus with a sheet over it, or just chilling there as it is?

 

And another question, i am sorry for all these, just need to tick the boxes.

How many seeds can I import in one go while staying in the smalest legal bracket, Ill be buying from High Grade Seeds and they are usually about 12-14 per order. but i was thinking, while im taking the risk, i may as well stock up while I can, I dont clone.

If it was me i woul;dent put a sheet over it as it would make ppl think u have something to hide.

 

U are better off venting the air out the window instead on in the room u are growing in as all u are doing is recycling the air that comes out of th robe back in again and that will bring up the room temps that will rise the temps in the grow area, if u can draw your clean air in from a window it would be better.

 

U can order as many seeds as u like but just one packet of seeds with say 15 seeds in it will be easy than a packet with a 100 , so u are better off braking up the order into smaller packages if u are going to get a few...

Thanks for all the great detailed info.

 

Ill be putting in a normal bunnings fan at the height of the top of the pots, then get some tubing and attach it to the air filter at the top and run that out the window.

 

I think ill just buy seeds when I need them, that way I can break up the orders, as if i get one caught, they will be monitoring other mail that comes through around the time that the other seeds are due to arive and that would be worse off in the end I think.

 

Can you sugest any good air filters, i am thinking an Odorsok. but i honestly have no idea what kind of suction fan I need to attach it to the Odorsok. or the prices of such devices, and for obvious reasons dont want it to be too noisy, looking at about $100 for the filter and another $100 for the suction fan. any website to brows or specific products you, or any other guys recomend would be great.
