i just went an made a full strenth mix of nutes, the ph of that was between 6.2,6.3, i might get some ph down, it couldnt hurt to have around i spose, some of my plants ive been feeding a weaker mix of nutes, some ive been making a full mix, an watering them seperatly, my older plants are loving it , i also got my new lamp today, a brandspanking new sontagro, i got to keep the older light too, it was a lucalox, might come in handy if i get a blowout,, overanout

My plants have no problem coping with 6.3, but I agree that some ph down is necessary, you still need to be able to flush them with ph corrected aged water.

i too try to keep mine at 6.3 but with one brand of nutes this meant adding ph down EVERY day, I reakon thats bad as if i keep adding ph down wont the exess chem cause problems?? or can i not have too much ph adjuster in the nutes.

When u add it make sure u add it 1 drop at a time untill u are used to seeing how it changes the levels. I came really cloes to messing up a resi when i started :-)

I ahve herd that u can use viniger to to lower levels if u dont have any Ph Down. I used hydrocloric acid (pool acid) for about a week with out any noticable effect.

I run mine at 6.4, but that's with a bio mix of nutrients. I let it cycle up to 6.8,

then reset it. But with salt ferts I used to go about 6.5 for veg and about 6.0 for flower. Nimer's right about going easy with the phosphorid acid. It drops ph quite a bit, and you can fuck up your res easily. I only found this out when I got a digital ph meter.
