Lids for bubblers

Recommended Posts

The common way to do a lids for bubblers is to have a solid pice of wood, or just the bucket lid with a hole cut out that the net pot sits in.

Now I have this little problem in that I got buckets without lids. I'm not too keen on using timber for moisture reasons, plus the possiblity of leaching chems.

What I thought was just run a couple of rods through the net pot just under the top rim that rest on the sides of the bubbling bucket and cover the top with black plastic. With this I can also check inside the bubbler if I want without having to pull the plant up.....just peel back the plastic.

any thoughts?
