shroomyshrooms AODSS grow

Recommended Posts

Ok so shroomyshrooom just finished germing his AODSS they had been germing for about 3 days.. and looked ready to be put in to some type of medium to help them start growing.. shroomy would of loved to put them in coco and perlite 70/30 mix but didn't have any just lieing around so went for the cheap cant be arsed going to bunning option and opted for some rose potting mix and verm 70/30 mix...

mixed it up fairly well and planted the germed seed 2 per pot... covered with 1inch of the mixture and then watered till drain holes leaked

Not having the option to put them under lights they willl be started out side and kept out side untill harvest time

tell me what you guys think

im thinking if you want to have healthy plants from day one coco may be a better option @$30 per 30litres enough to fill 4x 10litre pots if mixed with alittle perlite @ $10 for 10litres.

i just dont like preferted soils and there is probally a reason some nute companys make a rose food and a MJ seperatly guessing the feeding levels are differing..

what you say is very true mate, but for what they are (bag seeds) shroomy cant justify the extra spendage.. if they were an exotic strain like durban poison or anything that is known to be of a sertain quality the extra cash and effort would have deffinetly been applied..

this is just a side project until somet better seeds comes shroomys way... a very goood friend that grows kindly gave shroomy some seeds for free and said this strain will grow in just about anything so the fact that shrooom had rose potting mix and vermiculite is the main reason that was substrate of choice..

Shroomy will deff be investing in some coco and perlite in the future, things are a little tight at the moment and shroomy lives by the quote "Do the best with what youv'e got"

Gday shroomy..

Them colored ties on the trees could mean a numbers of things mate, walking track markers, Some dirt bike riders and 4x4 clubs put them on the tree to mark a certain track for the participants, and some times the councils do fox baits, usually marked with a red ribbon or red spray paint..And many more..

All in all some one will come back to that place so i would look for some where people and cars and shit dont go to frequently..

It is cold..Hope ya babys are doin alright..

Hey guys shroomy has got some great news, he seriously thought that his attempt to grow something had failed missrably, so he decided to go and buy some coco and some perlite and get everything already for another attempt in the near future... so upon emptying the soil and verm mix out of his pots out fell out a 2 inch long sprout "from underdeveleped leaves to the end of the tap root..." Shroomy thinks it safe to say his heart almost stop from shock... so he did the same to the other pot and 2 more came out.... the same length :) so that is a %60 success rate of the 5 that were planted...

So shroomy replanted the 3 in there own pots with coco and perlite :) 70/30 mix :)

now just wanted a quick question answered.. Shroomy got his coco from bunnings so it was the bricks that need to be rehydrated... so shroomy followed the instructions and put it in a bucket added the correct amount of water waited 30 mins and then mixed it all... shroomy then mixed on %30 perlite by weight... and then started filling his pots and replanted the sprouts... now shroomys question is does this need to be watered straight away or can it wait a few days cause the coco is holding so much water... ?

thanx in advnace shroomy
