Yeah I got this stuff too. Wish I hadn't. It will probably outlast my great grand children. Overkill if you only grow for yourself like me.

 

PH being too high from the tap water is a big problem for me. Thanks for the advice ppl.

 

Wish you hadn't bought a cheap, damn near everlasting bottle of ph down? ! Nothing wrong with it outlasting your grandchildren is there? if you dont want it anymore, throw it out! (or saturate that annoying neighbours car in it if thats a better use for it haha jk)

 

I guess there is the organic benifits of using bicarb and citric - but they are the least of my non organic worries haha.

 

And by the way.... who needs to use ph up??? the only reason I can think you would need it is if you just filled your res and took the ph too low and didnt wanna dump it and start again? After refilling my res, mixing nutes and microbial, my ph is around 6.5, so I add 15 drops of ph down to each of my 50L res's and bingo im at 5.6-5.7, I then dont need to touch it until I top my res up after a few days, and even then its only climbed to about 6 maybe 6.2 which is perfect for my liking.
