do you filter incoming air

Recommended Posts

just wondering as to prevent pests/diseases if you use somthing to filter the incoming air into your room/box?

ive had a read around here and cant see any topics about it

ive had problems with pests in the past and maybe/maybe not im guessing things getting pests/diseases being sucked in thru the inlet that doesnt have a filter

assuming yas do use filters.. what do you use??

if yas dont.. why not??

thanks

I dont think there is a filter that is used for in let, but could be wrong.

One thing that ppl do is put fly screen over there in let to stop any pests getting but with a disease it is a diffrent story i think u would need a micro filter to stop stuff getting through but as soon as u open up the grow area any disease that is about will get in so on the side of stopping diseases i dont think there is much u can other than keep the inside of the grow area as clean as u can to help...

 Hey Doperat, good question. Like others have said stocking and a bit of flyscreen will do the job in most cases but if you live somewhere it's very dusty, or rogue pollen from neighbours or industrial hemp crops for eg. is a problem (which in the future will be more common), then you will need better filters. Air filters are rated for the smallest micron particles they can fillter. A simple dust filter can be fairly cheap and simple to work out but HEPA filters are ideal if you want or need better filtering and remove particals smaller than 1 micron, cannabis pollen is aprox 20-25 microns.

lol Peace MongyMan
