hey smokers,im new to growing and i live in the bendigo area,can enyone tell me whats the best time to grow it in bendigo in austarlia?

please help me guys.

It is a lil to late to start outdoors now as the days are only getting shorter and the plant wont grow very much before it goes to bud and then they wont do to well because of the cold and frost.

 

Spring time is when u need to start outdoors plants, depends where u are going to grow the plants if u have some where out in the bush what u could be doing now is getting the ground ready for when it is time to plant outside.

 

In doors in whole another story u can grow all year round...

Being new to growing I doubt you have alot of indoor equipment,but if you want to get going now, you can do it still with a min. amount of gear. First you will need aplace to grow that is frost free and safe to get to regularly. If u have a private backyard environment you're on a winner. Winter plants stay smallish.

 

But you need to make ahydrid inddor/outside set up. All it will take is a few fluor lights and a warm mat. They sell warm heat pads to sprout your seeds at hydroponic shops, maybe bunnings. Definately garden outlets have similar things in many shapes and sizes. If u have an old heater from under a water bed matress you are onto a winner.

 

This is because the cold stunts the early development of seedlings, seed emergings, and clones...allthe things you'll have to get the hang of quickly if you're going to go for it this winter.

 

First emerge ya seeds, raise them, and sex them out, finding the mother best suited for what you want to do. if you're growing in your backyard, lok for a short, heavy staured female. if you have freinds that grow , or buy smoke from dealers, ask around anyway, see if you can get a clone fo someone's strain, it'll save you heaps of time and effort .

 

Using the female you've kept, take cuttings and wait for them to strike roots. Then using the fluoros you buy. (I like using a set of 4 foot fluors. Screw 4 of them side by side. This wil give you enough room and light to raise far more clones than you're going to need. but the light that such a set up throws will allow you to raise the clones to a 300mm height without investing in a High Intesity light, which is expensive if you're not prepared for it, and a littl ebit of a learnign curve in itself. (not much, but time is short).

 

Onece you have your clones at 300mmm high, set them outside in pots, and they'll go straight into flowering this time of year. a couple to few months after setting them outside they'll be ready to harvest. It might sound complex, but it's just amatter of one step at a time if you're new to the idea, and being patient. the only alternative is to set up a complete indoor grow area, or wait until as already said, for winter to finish.

 

Grass is an annual plant, which naturally emerges in spring and heads in autumn or very, very close to these parameters. Naturalists say plant into the soil when it's comfortable to sit on tjhe ground with your naken bum, and not feel any cold in the ground. Or just wait until it warms up in general, either way. The first way is good if you like sitting on the ground nude. be carefull of prickles.

Marijuana goes into head when the sun starts to make it's daily presence felt less and less. at around the 12 hours of daylight, 12 hours of night area. When it is split like that, the plant tiggers into head and flowers. The length of tiem it takes to flower will depend on the varriety you grow, and if you allow it to set seeds or not. Keep the males away, and the plant will flower longer, making bigger heads, and theoretically be stronger in THC as it is not using it's life force to make seeds, and so makes more head and THC instead. If the heads get pollen on them from a male plant being near them (and they dont have to be close), or because the female plant you are flowering has done the dirty onyou and produced a few male flowerds (almost all plants will produce it's own make flowers to self pollenate if there are no males around to do it, that's the rason all animals and plants live. To reporduce, and they can be quie determined). But most strains fo grass these days are stable enough they dont do this as a rule.

 

But if say the female does produce male flowers on herself, and you dont see them and pick themoff quickly enough, it will set seed. This is when the plant will stop making heads as in size, andd evote it's dieing "breath" to making the seeds. There-by redcuing the amount of good head you get.

 

Hope I havent made it sound complex, it isn't. If you've grown tomatoes you can grow pot. if we explained how to grow potatoes in detail it too would sound daunting I suppose. It's mostly common sense and understanding your specific plant's need and cycles, as in growing anything from orchids to carrots.
