Sativa versus Indica

Hi all

 

Most of my grows have been 8 - 9 week flowering cycles. (Indica i would think)

The stretching stage i have experienced with this strain slows down to a slow crawl around the end of week 4 into week 5.

and then just fattens up from there.

 

After my last grow going for 12 weeks and could have gone for more. (that would be sativa yea?)

What have you experienced with this strain with stretching?

Does it ever bloody stop / slow down?

 

What week have people noticed that it slows down?

I need to know this to give me a better indication of how much head room i have now

and how much more i will need later.

 

Training it around is much easier now than later. but if i dont need to train it any more i would rather leave it alone.

sativas can be truely scary when it comes to stretching. some only double in size, some can get 4 or even 5 times the size they were when they started flowering generally speaking the higher the sativa percentage the bigger the stretch, but it really is genetics that determine how much they stretch.

 

to reduce the stretching of uncontrolable sativas you can tie them down, but tipping works much better. you should also use as much lighting as you can because weak lighting will cause them to stretch even more than normal. you should try the tipping and strong lights before resorting to products like rockjuice, but if worse comes to worse products like rockjuice will stop sativas dead in their tracks

Yes mate scary they are.

 

The only other chemical i have in my arsenal is Canna PK 13-14.

I will be adding this around week 8 , in 3ish weeks time.

With my last grow i added this way too early (Week 4) as i thought it would have been an 8 week cycle.

 

Will this have any affect on the stretching issue?

 

Iam unable to get my hands on Rockjuice at the moment.

pk 13/14 wont help with the strething, infact if it is added too early it will prolong flowering which in turn increases the overall stretching the plant does if you follow the directions though which i think says it is to be added 2 weeks before the harvest date you wont have any problems what so ever
