enough room?

Hey all

 

I'm growing two WW plants in my smaller grow room. I'm in 12/12 already (about 1 week preflower on vega nutes, 1 week on flores nutes). They havent shown the first hairs yet...

 

My question is this: Do you think I'm going to run out of hieght before the they finish flowering?

 

The Box is 1350 h x 600 w x 1000 L. I'm running recycled nutes under 1 x 600 hps.

Already the larger of the 2 is about 450-500 mm high. The distance between the tops and the light is already only 12".

 

They have filled the space nicely. From the research I've done, I take it they will suffer some if I 'tip them to slow vertical growth? Bending the tops will cost valuable light to the stems below?

 

Heres a few pics, tell me what yous reckon...

Also, I have decided to let the roots be suspended in my nute solution this grow. I have a bubbler on 24/7 so they get heaps of oxygen... Can anyone forsee any problems with this? I have them twisted together at the surface so they dont get near my pump...

i think you'll run out of head room and if that were my garden i would top them now because the longer you leave it the smaller the buds will be and training the plants is pretty much out of the question because it is super crowded in there. those roots coming out of the pots is a bit of a worry as well because if they get much bigger they could clog the tubes they are in which could in turn flood the room

 

other than that the plants look fantastic and i think you'll pull heaps of high quality buds before long

I have pushed the roots back in the pots...

I have noticed the first of the flowers starting... last night actually, so it might be too late to tip?

I have a cooltube i'm using in my clone box that i could set up in this box which would give me heaps more room should it be needed.

I might just wing it and 'bruise & bend' the taller colas as and when required. I dont want to slow the process down by tipping them now?

you can always try a few weights in the branches to hold them down a bit

Hey...

I ended up removing the lid off the box and placing a larger shade on top of the box thereby increasing the usable height by about half a metre...

I also give the lady's a birthday... Hopefully now they'll dance for me?

They are looking really good in all and after nearly 3 weeks on 12/12, there's more evidence of flowering.

 

Is White Widow normally this slow to turn? When do they stop growing upwards? They are between half a metre and 750mm tall already!

 

I also added another light, so lighting is: 600w hps + 400 hps in box sized 1000mm x 600mm x 1300mm+...

Nutes running 24/7
