Plastic Or Glass for curing

Recommended Posts

I have just harvested my first big plant and the cuboard is full of big branches hangin upside down and its a pretty sight. :uhhuh:

Im thinking when it comes time to cure i wont have enough jars to do it in, so is it possible to use plastic containers like tupperware.

Any info would be handy as i am struggling newby at this and i would hate to f$ck it up at this late stage.

If it's food grade, maybe. Plastics are known to release particles over time, and they can build up a static charge which will attract trichomes (notice all the golden trichs at the bottom of your baggie when it's empty?). Tupperware doesn't have a good reputation for being airtight either, but you could do a lot worse.

I'd stick with glass or stainless food cannisters with an airtight seal, you can pick up a box of say 6 preserving jars for about $20
