metal halide for flower?

Recommended Posts

This is incredible, I've been wondering this exact thing the last few weeks, and have been very close to asking this myself.

I want to grow in a room that will inevitably throw some light outside, and would appreciate it, seeing as it is a second story room in a busy street, if it wasn't yellow light...you know?

A bloke I knew in Canada who grew the most fuckin amazing crops, only ever used MH. He grew shit loads, supplied a compassionate club and all. Well he along with others. He bred some of the best strains I grew, and was generally an all round great grower who knew what he was on about, and he simply swore by MH for flower.

But just the same Mullaway, why do u use it only when it's hot? Do they run cooler or something? I've only ever owned a couple MHs and they were both just 400 watt. Dont know where either one is these days, so I have no experience witht hem to speak of.

thanks

rob

PS. This bloke in Canada I refer to said using MH for flower to always use high watts of course. Like 1K lights. he reckoned outright lumens was the biggest point, rather than what he considered minor light spectrum differnces in modern lights. this isn't my word mind you, so please don't anyone attack me, I'm just adding what I've been told.
