Bloody male plants!

Recommended Posts

Me and my brother have had a couple of plants outside for roughly 6mths, one is more indica, short and dark green and the other is more sativa, tall and light green. The sativa started to get the little pollen sacks on it after it reached roughly 5 foot which i figgured just to pick off because it was looking more like a herm. My brothers was all bud as far as you could see into the plant, but once mine started those few pollen sacks that opened up, fairly soon after his started seeding big time.. as is the sativa, but the sativa has alot of hairs on it too, so I am confused as to weather its male or just herm. Ive been told about this La Femme spray for plants, contains female hormones and is used to keep the female in the plant. Has anybody ever used something similar to this before and had any success?

what a shame you didnt rip the sativa dominate plant out :photo: sounds like the damage has already been done though so take it as a learning experience for next year.

btw while those sprays can work, you are much better off planting out proven female plants. my advice is to grow a few plants indoors a few months before the start of the outdoor season, sex them, remove any males and then revege the plants so you can take cuttings. should you start from a reliable seed stock the clones you put out will be 100% female and if you prevege them before putting them outdoors they should get a really good head start and grow into monsters over the summer months :protest

oh and if a plant has hairs and balls its a hermie for sure and should be culled asap, same goes for males unless you want a seedy crop :xcited:

How effective would these CFL's be for growing? and for how long can you grow under them?
