which pumps for DWC?

Recommended Posts

I am from the www.overgrow.com world and there's a system there called KFB (nothin to do with KFC) More commonly called the Krusty Bucket System, but it's a refinement of the dwc. This is the airpump we'd use for a system your size. Oh yeah part of the system is lotsa bubbles.

For hoses we would use regular 3/4" hose connectors all around and white or yellow garden hose.

KFB is a constant flow system for the nutes and the air.

This system is like a gourmet meal, the ingredients and the results are better.

Carbon filter can be found at an aquarium shop/pet store. They are just a little square thing that you fit in the airline about 20cm after the pump, you just cut the air-lines and pop them in.

they're cheap.

What do the carbon filters remove from the air?

Never thought that I needed such!

Maybe I'll just have to run right out!

Hey all i am planning my 10bucket DWC setup and i was looking at This Pump in particular. It would give each bucket 10litres of air permin which is overkill i know but hopefully will keep everything running very well...

My only concern is the noise. Has anyone ever run an electromagnetic pump around this size? I am just wondering if it will be herd over the bubbling of the buckets??

Thanx heaps
