Grow Pics - Autopot Hydro LED/CFL/ HPS Grow FAST

Recommended Posts

I thought I would suppliment my last post with some pics of the setup. The plants were germinated on Jan 4. The section on the left of the first photo shows the vegetative chamber with LED + CFL, The right shows the main HPS flowering section.

Vegetative clones are 4 weeks old - that is the clones rooted 4 weeks ago. Current clone size is 12 inches.

Flowering plants have been flowering for just 4 weeks and almost done.

Comments, questions welcome!

Thanks... >:( this has been my very first grow after much research.

For those interested, the vegetative chamber is running a total of 5x23W CFL and 4x28W LED = 227 Watts total for each 4 plants.

May flower some with this lighting exclusively and not use the HPS at all.

Cheers.

hey there

i would tend to agree with billo 4 weeks is a very short time even for a pure indica plant, and although i can see from the leaf structure that you do indeed have an indica or possible indica dominant cross on ya hands, i would be leaving them for probably another 2-3 weeks at least i have a indica in my grow at the moment and she still goes 7 weeks befor she ready

a few close ups of the buds will shorly tell us if they getting close

nice looking grow room ya got setup there the only piece of advice i can add is when ya plants are finished flowering stand in the flower section turn on your veg section lights and close the doors and make 100% sure there are no light leaks as this will make sure you are getting all that you can from your plants

Thanks for the valued advice guys lol

The total flowering time is approaching 5 weeks and I am away for Easter, when I return they will be well and truly done by all indications. The flowers are now totally brown and hairs showing signs of amber. This has been my first grow and I must admit the flowering time has been a real surprise.

I had obtained the original seeds from someone who was breeding for short flower times and perhaps these are just freaks... I lost contact with the "Overgrown" member who kindly sent them to me 5 years ago (5 year old seeds).

I'll keep you posted on the 'results'

Cheers

I've never seen a variety that is done in anywhere near 5 weeks or even 6. I am positive that if you left them longer they would be fatter and a much better smoke. If you must harvest after 6 weeks can you at least leave a few buds on there and see for yourself what it is like to leave it a little longer. Best advice I heard is that if you think a plant is absolutely ready leave it another week.

Thanks... biggrin.gif this has been my very first grow after much research.

If this is your first grow then you maybe are not properly aware of what a mature bud looks like. Plants look great btw.

Thanks freddie, and all of you who reflected the same thoughts on flowering time!

Ok... this IS my first grow and although from everything I have read, these look ready, I agree that there is nothing to be lost by letting them continue go for another week or two.

As I return from 4 days away, I now can no longer overlook my pressing need for room - the clones I took from the original 2 females, have outgrown their area and must be moved to the flowering section - the 2 'mothers' had to go....... So, the harvest looks good and look forward to a taste. The clones now in the flowering HPS section are now starting their flowering stage and I'll be able to let these mature to their full (if that proves to be longer than 5 weeks ) :yahoo: and report on the difference.

As a point, it was my intention to inform others with a similar available space, that the Autopot system is an excellent performer!
