Ok, another question... This one's about lighing...

Recommended Posts

Giday fellas.

I know that 6400K Day Light/Cool White CFL's give off blue spectrum light... Or something like that...

And I know that 2700K Warm White/Soft White CFL's give off red spectrum light... Or something like that...

Well I picked up some CFL's in Woolies today, they are "4100K - Cool Day Light", I got 20 watters coz they didn't have anything higher...

The question is... What colour spectrum am I looking at with these 4100K's???

I so fucking confused now! :)

Cheers.

Can't really be afford that... If I could afford it I would be getting the lighting set up I've got happening in my head...

Yeah, I thought it might be somewhere near the middle...

Might just use them for veg and flower... This is just a 'trial' run after all... I really wanna get some Bella's going, just need to be patient. :)

Cheers.

Yer ss is rite when it comes to colour spectrum, for both stages of growth, but there some ppl out there that argue that mh from start to harvest is the go, but most of us like MH to start off with and when ready to turn to bud go the Hps.

But in saying that there is another train of through were ppl say a lil more Mh wile u have a Hps going will give u a better yeild in the end and to this point would have to agree as the harvest i have had to date was with a 400w hps and a 150w Mh is the best one i have had in a lil 2 door robe...

id be looking at getting a MH or HPS globe..

I think metal halides and HPS's are the most efficient use of energy to grow with and your better off using them. The only decent CFL (that you can get easily) I reckon is a Nelson from Bunnings. It's a 48w which equals 240w supposedly. Costs $26. Get the warm white (looks yellow when switched on).

if you want to go crazy with compact flouro grows check this out:
