H2O Question

Recommended Posts

Hi MGR,

For your fish, you can use the same idea. Leave the tap water standing open for 24 hours. Carbon filters also remove chlorine. (RO filters have to have carbon filters to remove the chlorine because it will destroy the RO membrane) So for your fish water, I'd do both. Actually plants aren't harmed by the tiny amount of chlorine except it kills the mycorhizzhal organisms in the soil. I used to use tap water on my plants way back before I knew better and they did ok.

I read an article that said that breathing in your grow room actually does produce enough co2 to benefit plants. Especially with just a few plants. I have a terrible singing voice but the plants don't seem to mind. lol

I'm with you on avoiding anyone knowing about a grow. I've heard too many stories about ripoffs from supposed friends. I guess the idea of free ganja can turn almost anyone into a thief.

Good luck,

Dee :sdj:

At the moment I only have 4 gold fish, I don't worry about using A.C.E. with their water, just let it stand, as you said. The fish are pretty hardy too ad it's usually 6 months before their water gets changed. Mind you, my outdoor plants love the water from the tank! Full of fish poo and the like. B) I doubt I'll be using it for Susie tho, as the water is usually very acidic. I spose I could always balance it before using it... :peace:

Well when I come to breathing on plants, my outdoor plants love it, and it has been proven that talking to your plants helps them grow, so I figured I'd do the same for Susie. :P

That's the main reason I don't want anyone involved when it come to my grow, smoker or not. I have enough wounds in my back to last me a lifetime, I don't need anymore! lol

Plus, if I have to wait for something from someone, I can't be let down by them. 100% self sufficient is they way I like it. I know several other peeps here like to be that way too. I don't think it's a too bad a way to be either. B)

Cheers.

Hi MGR,

Independence is a good feeling. I like to travel and have taken several extended trips to southern Mexico. Especially when driving my own vehicle I have to be ready for anything. And stuff happens all the time. I believe in chaos theory!

I thought you'ld be amused by he indea of Aquaponics. It's a combines hydroponics and aquaculture (fish farming in tanks). No fertilizer needed soince the fish provide all the nutrients. The more plants you have, the more fish you need to provide enough fish poo to feed the plants. Your 4 little goldfish could possibly provide all the food that Suzie needs! I'm not making this up. B)

Good luck,

Dee
