tell us.. your post was in October.. so.. did it go fully back to vegetative growth by December and is it now starting to make a couple of pound of heads?

 

I reckon it would have.. and they are pumpkins and silver beet in background .. not potatoes

 

Yes .. don't even worry about indoor/outdoor species.. that only matters .. if you ARE growing under lights.

 

Indoor species will work equally well outdoors if planted out early enough in the season. The only difference being the advantage of earlier flowering which does actually make better use of the hotter period.

Have you or your neighbors used round up anywhere near the plant, it only takes a mini whiff of the stuff, and it makes some plants especially roses look like that.

Glyphosphate has explicit instructions. Most people don't know why. It can be spray drift if you use sprays but it can also be moved via soil water to roots of other plants. However the first sign of glyphosphate action is loss of colour greying and or or yellowing of leaves.
