Questions about curing

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Im into my second week of curing now and i was expecting for thiings to be a little different.

It doesnt really look like much has happened at all? I tried testing one of the buds and it smells fantastic but no taste/potency at all.. It doesn't smell much different from that grassy lawn smell when i open the tub..

It's sticky to touch and my hands are manky after crumbling a bit so surely it would do something?

Am i just being impatient? Or did i screw up somewhere along the line?

I was drying at 55% rH and 65F is that about right?

Thanks for reading, if i left anything out let me know.

1st of all was your bud snap dry before you started putting it in the tub?by snap dry i mean you can snap the stems at the end of the bud. then once you tub them have you been burping the container to let any moisture out? time in the jars and how long it takes is really dependant on you and how vigilant you are with your curing.

i wait till my stems snap instead of bending, then jar them however i burp the jars evry hour or two at first to let any moisture escape. i keep this up for a week or so and then they good to go.... mmmm wont be long and i be doing the same again....
