Generic Ak47 and Bigbud plants

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. We've had a heap of rain here and last night it rain for a couple hours like i've never heard it before. The plants, six in all were all washed away down the creek. Yep I'm spewing as you can imagine as thats all i have outdoors.

The first thing i had to do was head through the creek towards my landlords property and retrieve all the washed up bags, water containers etc. Lucky for me they were on holiday cause just in near their house i retrieved 3 grow bags, 1 20 liter water container and a bottle of pk 13/14 all washed up on the bank and stuck in trees. That could has turned out way worse.

So i've learnt another lesson the hard way. Dont keep your plants on a flood plain in the rainy season. :applause:

Any one who sais growing pot is easy needs a slap in the face with a wet mullet.

FAARK! Sorry to hear of your loss mate, that's real shame ;)

Damn lucky the landlord was away!

I had a similar tragedy with my 1st ever grow. I was still at high school and they sent us home before the river flooded. As soon as the bus dropped me off I ran through the neighbours paddocks to the creek were I had 4 or 5 growing on the bank. They were all submerged, but I managed to retrieve 1 and transplant her to higher ground. Needless to say, I've been wary of growing in gullies ever since, as you no doubt will be now ;)

Was that all your plants, or do you have some inside as well?

I've got another 9 to go outside in a month or so (Heavy duty fruity and Afghan#1). I'll delay as much as possible this time to avoid that wraths of the monsoon. Hight restrictions from the grow box will make it difficult though.

There are still 4 missing grow bags so I'll have to search the creek again soon. Cant be too careful eh.

Bumma to hear riverrat. They we're coming along pretty well.

But as 67 said, your not the first or the last to do it i'd imagine. I learnt my lesson early in the peace as well. Since then, i kept an eye out in trees to see where previous flood levels have been before. Usually you'll see some debris up in the trees, 'n always plant above that mark, up the bank. Preferably on the higher side of the river, that way if the river breaks the banks, it'll spill into the low lying areas first.

Hopefully return to growing outdoors again some day... Dunno if i'm lookin' foward to battlin' the odds again though. :peace:
