yota
So i had to leave for a while and i knew my clones would dry out, so i left the lid on to keep them all moist. So when i get back today, they are very moist still and alive. But.....the roots on some that are sticking out are fuzzy. I'm assuming this is mold. So my question is, are the clones ruined? Can i rinse off the mold and consider them usable? I don't know what to do with them. Will the mold be in the plants system and cause problems later? Anyone with experience or advice is welcome. sunnycoaststoner
i'd say wash em off and give em a go, can only see what happens i guess. should be ok but. maybe take a little while for em to come right. and while they are coming right, take some more cuttings and get em rooted as back up. you could get some triforine, a general use rose spray for killing powdery mildew, black spot and rust on plants just incase you have it come back. also you can use a solution of watered down milk to treat mould and mildew too, see the thread on that to be sure but. yota
ill get a pic up later today. To the second poster, it looks like white fuzz on the roots themselves. Not on the cube as i can tell.
Pam
The mold won't get into the plants system. I think you'll find that spraying a 50/50 soultion of 10vol hydrogen peroxide and water will do the trick fast. Keep the dome off, and wash it good before you use it again.
