Moving plants from indoors to outdoors.

Recommended Posts

Ive been growing a couple of plants under a 400w hps and they are nearing the end of the bud cycle. The buds are less impressive than i had hoped due mainly to heat and fertilization issues. I'm looking to try a little experiment and im wondering if anyone here has tried this. I saw on a growing vid that a way to increase yield is to turn the lights back up to 15 hours in the last 2 weeks of budding. However my idea is to move the plants outdoors where we are currently getting around 15 hours of light. Perhaps this could solve some heat and airflow issues as well. Would this do the plants harm or could this actually work?

Normally I'd say don't do that, as expee is correct on the reveg

:P but there may be a little to gain with more available energy. I wouldn't expect miracles though

I'd only try it if they had been flowering at least 6 weeks... try it and tells us if your buds stretch and start revegging

If not you can flower them again as soon as they have reveged, works a treat, just leave all the lower popcorn bud

High Mongoloid

I dont'[ mean to get too personal, but could you tell me roughly where abouts ur are? Say, what state and if ur nth/sth or whatever of that state? REason I ask is, I too am doing an experiment and i'm wondering about the amount of hrs of sunlight. I have grown a plant indoors for 4 wks, hydro, and under lights, and i've put her outside to flower, and hand feeding her hydro food. She's been out there for 4wks now and has stretched a great deal and is showing first signs of bud. This particular strain that i have, stretches for 4wks when first turned to flower, and then packs on the buds for the next 5wks. I'm wondering if that will be the case here and she will do her usual 9wk flower, or if she will take longer, like most plants that are grown outdoors. Any advice or knowlege from anyone with experience much appreciated

Hope i'm i'm not hijacking ur thread mate.
