Cross Pollinating

Recommended Posts

breeding all depends on what qualities you want to pass on to the next generation. if you want to increase the yield of a low yielding female thats a knock out smoke, look for strains that are very high yielding and then use a male from one that is simular in shape, indica to sativa ratio, etc.

if you want to improve other traits, just look for a male that grows the same as females from the same seed batchand use the smoke tests from the females as a basis to pick the males for breeding. but i also recommend smoking a male bud to give it a test because a good male will get you stoned :peace:

female pollen comes from hermies that are mostly female plants that put out the odd male flower. personally i think anyone who breeds using that pollen isn't thinking straight because it passes on those hermie traights to the next generation, but generally speaking if you cross that pollen with a really strong female you can end up with feminized seeds which can be a major bonus to some people

there sure is alot of different things that come into play when your breeding and trying to cross pollinate...it seems like it is more of a hassle than its worth

yeah..i looked into it..it gets very very complicated,,,,not for amateurs...although the basics seem simple enough....it dont stay simple!!! lol...spend ya time concentrating on relevant grow topics...dont get off topic!!!
