Drying has become easier

Recommended Posts

I recently discovered that putting the dehumidifyer in the room where the stalks are hung to dry has it done and in jars in 2-3 days!

There was very little smell except for right in the room.

This seems to work as well as SS's wood stove!

This little machine is amazing, it helps in summer with the high humidity we have here, and now it has another use!

I got it at a yard sale, best thing I have ever found!

Dehumidifiers are fantastic drying aids. I once worked for a company which did fire and water damage recovery. They used a shipping container with a couple of dehumidifiers and a couple of fan-forced heaters to dry books, including entire sets of sodden encyclopaediae. This is pretty much where I got the idea to build my bud dryer, which also dries buds in about 3 days.

Sounds like a good idea Granny, is the smoke any rougher for the faster drying and is it one of those with the built in ionizer?

Don't see a lot of them around the sales here as it doesn't get very humid on this side of Oz.

It is rough right off the line, but a week of curing fixes that.

The machines are expensive, but worth it. It's amazing how well it dries things without heat.

Warm air comes out, but no big deal. I have a brand new A/C/Heat pump central unit in my house and this thing still pulled 2 gal of water out of the air every day in summer. And now it's a bud dryer too!

Al, it's good to know that it'll dry other things when attached to a box! I probably wouldn't have thought of it! Dont have one of the huge cardboard and wood vaults that are used to warehouse household goods, wish I did! That would be perfect.
