Double Chamber pyrex bong

I can get it for $40 which I'm happy with, I haven't smoked for years but soon to start again and I was wondering what peoples opinions are of this. My logic is I figure theres better and worse ones so this should be a decent re-entry into smoking again! I've never smoked a double chamber pyrex like this before though...

An updated method will be posted over the next few days but the only real modification is that I've swaped the rice for sea salt crystals as they can be emptied into the sink without fear of blocking it up.

I used to have a double chamber meself, theres a photo in the pic dump. It was always fairly unsteady

because the smaller chamber would throw it off balance. I woke up one morning to find

the large bit in pieces on the bathroom floor. I realise how great to smoke from it was now that

I'm back to a pipe or bucket.

Yeah I was wondering about the cleaning side of things. That's cool I'll look up that thread mentioned, good to know these things in advance.

EDIT: Tom, how hard is it cleaning the 2nd chamber? Unscrew the cone and same process? Is it a lot more fiddly or nothing to really complain about? And as a subnote I noticed your bong has a glass cone? Very nice, does that unscrew or is it fused together? I'm guessing its not fused? Surely would be a devil to clean then. Anyway great work on your cleaning thread, I've never heard of that method before today, looking forward to the update too

Used to have a nice double chamber in addition to a large single chamber pyrex. Double chamber was great, hard to clean, but was good for big sessions with mates. When just having a quick chop by myself I tended to favour the single chamber.

 

One thing to remember with the double chambers is it takes a bit more suction before you get at the smoke so if you've got weak lungs its not the way to go, had a mate with that problem, he preferred those little pyrex travel bongs, harsher but was easier for him to pull.
