Vegged about a month and watched them limp along with a little overwatering troubles, Oct 6

just after switching to 12/12

Just over 2 weeks into flower, today Oct 26

Got a grow diary happening in the 420 Crew Forum, but wanted to show it for discussion for anyone thinking of DWC, especially now as summer is here, well it feels like it, this last fortnight in Qld.

This was supposed to be a recirculating perlite grow, but I lightproofed the res too well and ended up with the roots invading it.

Added another 60 litre tub via 13mm hose and so far have had no problems of the roots growing between the 2 tubs.

There is an air stone in the extra tub as well as an aqaurium filter.

With the addition of HySan every 3 - 4 days to keep the solution sanitised, there has been no algae growing even with no lid on the spare tub

The main res has a 4 outlet air pump feeding 2 x 500mm long airstones.

The EC is reading between 1.2 - 1.4 on the stick, the pH ends up around the low 6's most days, I haven't tried to drive the pH too far below 6 with too much Phosphoric Acid

Does your tray have holes all over the bottom or just one drain hole? I guess many since the roots got thru. Gonna be nasty untangling it when you're done I bet!

The tray has a wierd shape, sort of like a deep double V

Drilled about a dozen or more holes in each section to ensure it drained, about 3-4mm dia drill, now the holes are full of roots seeking out the deep water.
