No flushing?!?

Recommended Posts

I have 2 strains going at one time, and one is done, the other needs several weeks. (I cant believe how different they were, see grow diary for pics). But im thinking of not flushing the one strain that is done due to the fact that its gonna be really hard for me to do a flush of half, and give the others the nutes they need at a vital time that they need it! So is this a bad idea, does it make the bud all chemically? i mean that bud grows up on the chems, how much could a 3 day flush before harvest do. Any opinions are appreciated.

You've gone to all the trouble of growing them so you may as well finish them off properly, it wouldn't do any harm for them all to have a flush for a few days, you can give the NL's a hand water with some nutrient mix as well if you want but make sure they are the ones closest to the drain, flushing does make a difference and I like to flush mine for at least 5 days.

any flush would be better than none... and yes with out a decent flush you will taste the hydro nutes..

the idea is to have to plant feed on just water for at least 3 days.. after the medium has been flushed.. other wise the plant will still suck nutrients from some where..

a good sign is the leaves turning yellow and showing major signs of deficiency ... this will tell you that the plant isnt feeding on nutrients from the medium its taking what ever it can find with in the plant..

a good flush is a must if you want the smoke to taste good ... with out the chesty tightness you can get from unflushed plants..

in the end.,. its all upto you.. personally.. id be flushing..

I flushed my forst grow with White Russian for only 3-4 days and it was ok I thought - little bit harsh and I did notice the chesty feel somewhat...

Last grow I flushed for 7-8 days and the difference is huge, really smooth smoko and very flavorsome.

If you can manage it then flush them as well as you can.

Starving the NL's would probably get some decent resin production from the flush anyway....???

Jimbo lol
