Can i prune these beasts?

Ez now people,

 

I've just started out, first timer and have 3 on the go.

They all in soil w/600w hps and carbon filter w/extractor.

 

they been going for a little while now and for some crazy unexplainable reason we started one a bit later than the others....

(didn't think that through very well at all eh !)

 

Basically i was wondering if i could prune the two beasts to the same height as the other one?

And if anyone had any handy tips for doing so?

you could prune them if you liked.. or even take clones from them...

 

are you sure theyre all 100% female??

 

the best thing would be to tie them down, spreading the canopy out by kinking or tying down will increase the yield too..

 

growing under lights the light will only penetrate the canopy about 30-40cm.. so growing plants much bigger/taller isnt really best.. of course come harvest time you could cut the tops and let the bottoms fatten up that little bit extra.. increasing the yield too..

i'm sure of the smaller one being fem, the two in question well i have no idea whatsoever, just found them in some nice bud one time.

 

just did a quick measurement one is 2ft 1 and the other is just under 2ft! (i think thats bout 60cm?)

 

is this kinking/tying still possible or should i just get some hardcore pruning on the go?

I would be tying them down as well and then flowering them soon after as some strains will more than double their height during flower, if you have a digital camera a picture or two would help.

Ok coz the only digi in the house is my girlfriends EOS 300D the file sizes are waaay too big to upload onto the site even when winzipped...

That's what I use to resize.

2' plants are small. If you prune them you'll have to veg for awhile if you try to prune and flower you'll

only end up "pruning" your yield in the end.

Trying to learn to kink on such small plants is risky, you break alot before you get the trick down.

tying is probably your best bet.

Hey,

 

Went on hols and came back to find they had become monsters

Just decide to trin the lower branches off and snipped the top a little bit ( it was so painful to do but had to be done )

I also started to 12-12 them but hopefully it will still be ok..

I'll get some more pics and upload them over the weekend !
