lol

Dude!

(Takes another look...)

:o

Dude! Wicked plants there mate, did I read that you're a fellow Perth grower? Good to see the West Ozzies growing that high quality weed we're known for.... Keep it up mate! Oh, and a couple of q's, when did you plant, and what's, in your experience, the avg growth and harvest times for weed here? When do you expect to harvest? By the looks of that, pretty soon, but is it around the same time every year? Any other advice you have for growing in this great city?

Look forward to talking to ya!

(Looks one last time at plants...)

thanks dude... yus i am a fellow perth grower, but this is actually my first grow here, only been in perth 9 months... i think i was germinating these two in a group of 6 seeds just before christmas.... i can't give you an average sorry, hehe for obvious reasons, but well they have both been growing for 3 and a half months and are very nearly ready... well especially sasha... i'll probably be harvesting her in a week, not sure about sophie thou... she has very different buds, with kinda 'tufts' of hairs growing out everywhere...

i found thou that the really sunny weather that perth had this summer did crazy things to my girls... at one stage, every morning i would go out and water/check them and they had always grown another couple of inches... and well you can see that from the earlier pictures at around 1 month, then at just after 2 months...

becase this was a first grow, i don't have much advice to offer, sorry, but i must say thou, the heat was something i had to watch, because i found the soil drying out quite quickly all the time... i was watering 2-3 times a day with about 1 and a half litres per plant each watering...

hmm... hope that was of some help... ;)

thanks again to everyone for their comments, i appreciate it... :(

cheers,

brimstoned.

Hi there brimstone, I offer a belated welcome to west oz! Enjoying your time in the lovely city of perth?

Anyway, yeah, this was a nasty summer, but it wasn't as hot as some years here, more humid than anything. Just wait till the mercury hits 43 regularly, ;) and then you find out just how hard it is to keep water up to the plants! (of any kind!)

And that's a fantastic result from just three and a half months! :( I look forward to seeing just how much bud you get from them. What was the specific soil mix you used? And what ferts did you employ? :( Seems to me you've got a winning formula mate, keep it up!

Talk to ya soon.

Hehe, thanks for the welcome, but i was born here... just lived in the great southern for a while... but yus enjoying myself quite well thankyou... reaping the benifits of a summer of so many cloudless days... :P ahhh.. but i love watering my plants... and i agree with the idea of 'growing' being the only addictive part of our sweet mary jane... i used to get wasted and just sit with them... you can feel them grow... but it is a warped sense... there is something peculiar about this plant............

lol wow, random.... but yar... hmm.. i'm not sure if i've got a 'winning' formula, but thankyou :D as this is my first complete grow... i've started and finished plants for people.. but never lived with one.. ehhe... last week while i harvested, they lived in my room.... was really spun out... anyway, as for specifics

Soil Mix : Yates organic based potting mix with dynamic lifter... (and a bit of cheap organic mulch and manure)

Veg Ferts : Miracle-Gro Plant Food [N.P.K ratio - 15:13.1:12.4] (i didn't quite use enough of this on these plants, i tried it in a better dosage on a newer one and it thrived!)

Flower Ferts : Monsta Bud [P] - 1.85% [K] - 2.03% (i didn't use enough of this either... i think i was just trying to keep the chemicals low... hehe)

But thankyou for the comments... sorry i took so long to reply, i was away for a while...

Here are a few new pics...

Yeah, it's always a bit sad when it comes to giving your girls the chop, I console myself by starting a new crop straight away, after cleaning and sterilising the grow room of course. :P
