Nah my vape doesn't come with temperature control, but works great without it IMO.

Hey Putard Off Ya Tree is now in the Queen St Mall. As you're walking down from the George St end its on your left. I haven't noticed any vapes in there myself but I remember someone posted here once that they do sell them. But they are becoming more common in smoke shops. I bought mine from a smoke shop in Vulture St, West End, and the other week saw a selection of them in the smoke shop on the top floor of Carindale Shopping Centre.

The light globe vaporizer can burn your mull if you hold the candle/ lighter there too long- but it works well. You're not supposed to burn it though, when it's brown or slightly changed colour, it's finished. Best investment is to buy a variable heat gun like the Steinel 3002 LCD, then you can't burn it. On a light globe setup, set the gun for about 300C. About 210 C is okay if you have a vrip cone or vocano valve set. That is the best combination according to posts on international sites like overgrow.
