Why did I think that to vote, one had to have in the 10 posts?

I know there's rules somewhere... I do think though the judging guidelines should be posted.

Some seem to vote on the photography, while others will go completely by the photos content.

It seems to me that it should be clear so that ppl don't come in cold and vote for a pic because

it's their favorite strain, or color...

I see that whoever this prick trichome1 is/was, who swayed the voting in the Cannaporn comp, joined the last day of September just to vote in the comp, hasn't posted since, hasn't been seen since. It was bloody obvious as the votes were coming in something wasn't right.

Yea i know elephants have a great memory and perhaps this also applies to toads ... i have already left my 2cents worth on this subject, ' wouldnt be surprised if a complete newbie comes along and enters, wins and takes home the bacon home never to seen again '...

 

really i guess you should have lodged a protest direct with the stewards at the time ... but now i think you should make a proposal to Admin with your concerns along with solutions in the hope that any perceived 'vote rigging ' is avoided in the future ...

yeah as Frazzle said some counter-measures to avoid easy ways of 'influencing' the vote would be a good idea.

you have to be 18 to vote....so perhaps a good idea would be you would have to have 50+posts(got the idea from Granny's post) in order to vote in the Canna Porn competiton...this would prevent people creating 'new' registrations just in order to vote...as is i think the case with trichrome1.

Well close, but no banana Frazzle, a newbie never came along and won everything. That is incorrect.

 

Newbies joined one after another, with no posts to their name, voted, and swayed the voting. Ok? The same person still has not posted since that contest.

Why do I need to make a proposal to Admin? This thread was started by OzStoner, you've read it, plenty of mods have read it, what do I need to fill out the appropriate form in triplicate? Address and forward it to the correct recipients? Make copies to fax to head office?... blah blah blah?

 

I'm having my say right here, I'm saying some asswipe took all the fun out of a harmless good spirited competition and tainted it by cheating.

Simple.

If you guys are happy watching members waste their time and enthusiasm by this sort of piss weak stunt then why should anyone bother entering pics of their precious hard work?

Hey Everyone, We do agree that strangers shouldn't be able to vote and had thought we had it in place sorry. Strangers can no longer vote.

Although the winning shot still has 3 above the runner up and only 1 possibly confirmed dummy vote and at this late stage there is no way to examine the voting and the prize pack has already been sent.

 

Please contact us rather than just post if you believe any competition has been cheated on as we may not always see or have some things bought to our attention straight away.
