sexing at 3rd node

not sure where i read it or even if i imagend it but i think i read that a plant shows its sex breifly at the 3rd node?

Im sprouting sum up soon & just dont want to dig holes for things im just gonna rip up early.

I plan on keeping 1 male of each strain well away from the fems so it would be good to know whats what but being outside i dont have the luxury of playing with the sun.

If there is no way of telling the sex so early then at what stage in flowering does the male start to release pollen? If i can catch the male before it releases pollen then i can harvest it & controll what i want seeded.

At the 4th internode or more, look VERY close at the place where the branch grows from the main stem. You will see 2 spikes. Look between the 2 spikes to find a preflower. The males will have something that looks a bit like a large green trichome in shape. The females will show a pistil or 2.

The male will flower before the the female , just at the right time to make seed. Then it will die off on it's own.

Although it doesn't contain any THC, it is still useable and gives a cerebral kind of high... there's a thread here somewhere that digs into that.

I hope that helps. :D
