Clones in the mail

Hi everyone,

 

I haven't seen any threads in my travels in regard to posting clones and I was wondering how you do it?

 

Just wrapped in glad wrap with the cube cut thin?

 

How long can a clone survive in the mail typically? Say from England?

Hey jimbo there are a few diffrent ways of sending clones but most ppl dont like talking about in the open as it gives away how it is done and if there happens to be a copper or or some one from australia post reading and then they will know what to look out for.

 

Having clones sent from over seas is a diffrent kettle of fish then just having them sent from around oz.

 

They are live plant matter and have a good chance of being found when xrayed than some seeds would being in a lot small packaging, IMHO u are bringing a big undue risk towards your self having clones sent from another country...

sending clones in the mail should only be done from within the country you are in, never get them sent from overseas as you are asking to get busted but just say you had the best stealth packaging available, clones will only last a few days in the mail which fall far short of the 7-14 days it can take for international mail to arrive.

 

but without going into too much detail, you need to stop the clones from moving around, have them sealed water tight to prevent any leaks and they have to be sent via express post otherwise they wont make it

hey jimbo,

depending on the strain your chasing.. Have a look into culture cuttings breeder steve was looking into it a few years ago.. Only other option is to UPS them fresh and hope

take a look at this jimbo, took ages to find but i knew i had seen something on the subject. however i do agree with pure's comment about the gladwrap. i think i would try this without wrapping the foliage. just have it swinging in the breeze in the inside container, then wrapped in a plastic bag to stop any moisture escaping, and then into the outer container.
