SukonmiSkunk
I use an all brass pipe... i think its the aluminum pipes that could give of an alloy residue and ive been told to stay away from them.. brass is the go i think.. and quite frankly if youre heating the cone that much to get a hit.. then you need to stay away from those lighters that are like oxy torches too ... .. really i wouldnt think youd heat up a cone piece that much to get any metal residue in the smoke.. but brass safe... aluminum bad.. and besides.. aluminum pipes tend to seize up more.. WantDaChronic
aluminium cone pieces give the smoke a funky taste so i have stayed clear of them as much as possible, brass or copper ones on the other hand have worked perfectly until they have got too hot and burnt me when packing a fresh cone but since i found a cone piece exactly like the one i lost at mardigrass, that burning has stopped i think the cone piece is heat resistant or something because its slightly heavier and has a thicker base than normal cone pieces and it only gets warm, even after continious use for an hour

Gruntus
Times change. Metal pipes are just kinda' 70's aren't they? With so many great glass pipes available why even bother with the old stuff. Glass is inert, strong, easy to clean. I'll never use metal pipes again.. Thanks and good one gruntus - I have a spare metal pipe I use from time to time when I'm all Vaped out but I don't like the taste of it...I've never tried a glass pipe so I might buy me one for Christmas!
