now a little about this beauty

is is about 3 months old and is about 40-50cm tall with one main stem

about 3 days ago i noticed it was growing different foliage

so i look on there and through your wealth of knowlegde it i found out it is a baby girl :)

today it even has a smell to it

there are a good 10+ bud sights popping up all over the plant with what i think is more coming

btw it is is normal potting soil with a bit of slow release fert in it

in a ceramic pot that is about 12-15 litres in capacity

so my question is should i leave it go el natural or should i set up a small box indoors and load up the "nutes"

and keep it in the 12 12 cycle

am am inclined to do the second but was also thinking of pulling a clone or 2

off it to keep the flow happening between plants

so i am open for all suggestions and any help

will be greatly welcomed and apreciated

:P

i am only going on what i have been told as i aquired the plant already growing

the bloke said he planted the seed about 3 months ago

it was an outdoor plant and was grown in winter conditions which may of contributed to the size

btw it was only bagseed but the bag was killer stuff which is why my mate put it in the ground

i live in perth so that should help with what sort of weather it is receiving

right now it is under no artificial light just sitting on my balcony and getting watered every morning

so if i put it back into veg mode would the young buds die off or remain stagnet

until i am ready to flower it again

also i have read on here about "reveging" could that be applied here

i will go take some more pics now to show you what it is like now

it would have grown about 6 inches in the past 2 weeks

Yes that's what a CFL is(I'm a noob too). I'll let a more experienced person give more detailed information, but my basic understanding is as follows:

1/ CFLs come in various wattages. There are little baby ones (typically used as energy saver lights in homes) and then there are big ones (100W to 150W, which translate to the equivalent of a 500+W incandescent bulb).

2/ CFLs come in cool white and warm red. Cool white give off the light spectrum good for seedlings and vegetative growth. The red ones are for flowering.

3/ From what I have read, you want to get as many CFLs as you can since a plant needs to be close to it (1-2 inches) to benefit fully. I have read that the range of CFL light was something ridiculously small, 4 inches or so.

You can have the plants further away than that with a Spectrum CFL (130W) but they are $85 plus your normal HID socket/shade and an adaptor plug so you can plug it into the wall.

You don't use a ballast with these so they are a viable option.

Or you could stuff a heap of small bulbs all around it.

There are a lot of good grows on UK420 that use CFL's all the way through - seems to be fairly popular over there.

Nothing will beat a HID light though but sometimes you have to work with what you got hey...

yeah too true jimbo cheers for all the help

and to everyone else that posted

i fell that a may be rushing into putting it indoors

atm i have financial and time issues so i wont put this one under lights

i dont want to do things half arsed

i will just use this plant as a learner for harvest, what to look for etc

the 2 little seedlings will get the royal treatment though

oh yeah is is possible to propagate just one mabye 2 buds to get a few seeds this looks like a strong strain

and i wouldn't mind getting it going and get some fat buds off it like the ones that are all over this place
