you said your clones are dying and yet conditons are good..hmm...think about that statement!!

im not giving advice on how to clone..im seeking information myself...I tried cloning for the first time a couple of weeks ago...below is a pic of how it turned out..

as you can see..it was 100% failure rate

my next attempt will be by building a bubbler cloner..(doing that today)

yeah I wet them..to 25-30g wet weight..I think the main problem was I forgot to PH adjust the rockwool

i read it is better to shake the rockwool cube rather than squeeze them

I found rockwool cloning frustrating and annoying and complex....I have a thread floating around with more info on my first attempt at cloning....anyways..im off to the petshop now to buy a couple of check valves for my bubbler cloner B)

Some cutting tips for yas....

1: Cleanliness is godliness. Clean EVERYTHING. And be anal about it, it's important.

2: Only use sharp, sterile blades and make clean cuts.

3: Take twice as many as you intend to use in the end. You can always throw excess numbers in the bin.

4: Don't keep em too wet.

5: Don't keep em too cold/hot

6: Don't play with the cuttings, pulling 'em out to see if they're rooting is a big no-no.

7: Bigger cuts (5 cm above the cube surface) are more capable of tolerating the process than small ones

8: Have 2 nodes (trimmed to stem) below the surface, and 2 nodes above with leaves on

9: As they develop, over a week or so reduce the humidity inside the crib. Open one vent after about 4 days, then if the cuttings wilt close again and mist the inside of the dome, not the cuttings themselves. If they stay turgid then leave for another day, and open another vent, etc until all vents are open and then you can remove dome.

10: If all else fails, and you keep having failure after failure, move the cutting room somwhere else. There are stranger things to have happened than clones not taking in one room of a house but rooting well in another.

Hippy's point is well made. They don't have good conditions if they're dying. If you can post a description of everything you did in the process it would help to identify the problem.

Hope that helps.
