Help Please

These White Widow girls are about 9 weeks into flower. I had a problem with a cheap timer 2 weeks ago, it was staying on 24hrs during the flowering time for i think 4 -5 days before i picked up the problem. I think my girls started to go back to the growth stage. The heads are thick and solid and a good size, but there is no christaliation and not much of the sweet smell.. Even after handling my fingers are barely sticky or sweet smelling. About 30-40% of the pistols have turned amber color, still not a lot of smell and no christals at all. please help..

Heya rippa ... mate they look sick, like not healthy , not happy ... whats with the curly leaves , thats not good sign ... almost like they are drowning or suffocating ? ... yet there is still chunky buds ... i wouldnt be too worried about the timer fuckup as long as ya got it right now just watch closely for any male pollen bags on the girls , in case

 

as for smell and crystal trichomes well that has alot to do with genetics .... theres about 20 different breeders of 'white widow' many are not fair dinkum where did you get these from ? and i reckon they never smell as much in hydro anyways ... sorry i got no answers for you , just more questions have you tried a early smoke?

G'Day Rippa, Have to agree with Frazzle m8, They look sick . What was the source of the seeds? White Label?

At 9 weeks I think your wasting your time, the damage is done so to speak. Is there any mold?

 

As Frazzle said. A lot of the white strains and skunk for that matter have had all the goodness and vigour bred out of them. In future I will be trying Shantibaba's/MrNice "white's" . I have some Medicine Man crosses waiting to be popped(next year)

I've grown WW a couple of times recently and been very dissapointed.

Thanks for the reply Frazzle and RunTHC, This is my first attempt at hydro.. so im not too worried, will only get better. Im using a homemade areoponic system that sprays a fine mist of spray from below the root system, its set to 3 mins on 20 off. I have used this same watering methed since they were babies. Some cocksucker at the local hydro shop convinced me to use a product called Rock Juice about 2 weeks into flowering, this stunted the plants and thats when they began looking sick, but the heads thickened and thickened. Maybe this was the problem. The seeds came from Magus Genetics. There is no mould at all and im keeping a sharp eye out in case they turn tranny on me. In my last attempt to get some sort of quality i have throughly cleaned and flushed the watering system and trying a product called Psycho Finish. I just cut a small bud to sample in a couple of days, maybe it will smoke better than it smells. Thanks for the tip on where to buy quality seeds and your comments. Ummm well if you have used rock juice on emm all you are saying is totally normal.

rock juice stop the plant growing any higher as soon as you add it, it also makes the buds swell up huge and will also stop em making as mutch resin and they will not smell much either.

 

do a search for rock juice and you will find peoples comments are excattly as whats happened to your plants.

ok.. for starters.. kick ya hydro shop guy square in the balls.. and if hes still standing after that.. knock the cunt out...

 

Rock juice only needs to be used at around 1/4-1/5th the dose it says on the bottle.. and only the ONCE.. at about the 3rd-4th week into flowering.. about when the plants have finished most of their stretching... i only use about 60ml... in my 50-60liter resi.. and i still think its too much.... and only ONCE...

 

but looking at these... it looks like theyve started to reveg... light timer staying only for 5 days would definately start showing signs of reveg... turning the buds to shit... fluff...

 

2 options.. one harvest the crap and go again... it should still be ok to smoke.... maybe... or.. keep the timer on 24/0... prune them back and regrow them.. if theres not enough room for the roots.. then just harvest them..

 

for a first time grower.. id be looking to a system thats a lot more forgiving to fuck ups than aeroponics.. try a simple recirc system with perlite or clay balls...

 

shame about the crop... looks like the buds would have been half decent ...

Yeah stay clear of fools that recommend things like that, they don't deserve your money. It looks like your PH may be out too, what are you running it at?

imo too much rockjuice was used and your pH is slightly out if that were my crop i would start flushing and drop the light to 10/14 to try and hurry them up. they will only need a week or so to be free of nutrients and imo you would be far better off harvesting what you have and starting fresh instead of trying to revege the plants or anything like that

Im running the resi between 6 - 6.5 ph .. i have a 220L resi so its pretty easy to maintain a consistant ph level. the plants were looking healthy as fuck unitl i added the rock juice, ill flush the system see what happens over the next week. im runing another smaller room as a nursery with a single 600w so my ice strain is already well under way.. withe the help im getting here, ill be growing monsta trash in no time.. thanks everyone for your help and opinions.

Try 5.8 - 6.0, at 6.5 you are locking some of the nutrients out.
