What CF , PPM or EC ?

What should it be for Veg and Flowering ? I am using Dutchfest at the moment in Bloom and the label says it should be 2.0-2.5 EC ,, but I am only getting a reading of 1.8 EC . This is at full strength . Edited August 3, 2007 by Closet Grower

I don't use Dutch Fest but if you want it to be stronger then just keep adding it until the desired EC is reached.

I get this with Canna nutes too - but I get a much higher reading than I should if I follow the bottle. The bottle is only a rough guide and you should go by your Truncheon reading IMHO.

Well maybe the full strength nutes are at the right level then Bill

ignore what the bottle says, different strains will require different levels of nutes and the nutrient companies always tell the grower to use more than what they should, it gets them buying more nutes over any given period of time

 

i usually start at 1.0EC and then gradually work up to 1.6EC until im well into flower and honestly i havent seen any difference between 1.6 and 2.0 or above except for nute burn some strains love their nutes and will require more than that, some will require half of that and will still whinge about being overdosed with nutrients so my advice is to get to know your plants and always start from a low level of nuterients and work your way up over time, its hard to screw up that way

Cheers ,, I will watch the plants . I know when I use the full strength Grow ,, it does burn 'em , I usually use 1/2 strength when Growing .
