black strap molasses? or any molasses

Recommended Posts

I agree on the general gist of what als said there, I too find it hard to believe that such large molecules are able to be root transported. But that said, beneficial bacterial and fungal innoculations in "hydro" setups are fine, if not brilliant. :toke: Just make sure you innoculate with suitable species and keep your res filtered (inline filter and a filter sock for the innoculant in the tank) and you'll be very impressed I think.

I'm actually running a direct comparison grow at the moment with one plant on a "disinfected" (cos it's never sterile) solution by DM and the other on a microbial/fungal organic supplimented mix by AN. The AN plant seems to be ahead a bit so far. Mind you, only 1 week of flower done so it's far from a finished comparison, and I'm not a scientific institution with a control or large plant numbers.

You should also be careful with these types of additives , I was having a chat to a chemist and he stated that products like carboload and molasses when not used carefully can cause the plant to stop feeding and encorage certain types of root rot

That said I am using carboload powder with tiranchila and phirana and haven't noticed any issues myself but i have always run it at half dose

thanks for all the replys guys

i will still get some and have a go

mainly with the coco and soil

i mean i will be carefull and run on just 1 plant as a test ofc

so foliar feeding is the best way to provide for them with the stuff?

id probably just do a fortnightly feed of the mollases

i cant afford corbolaod as i ned some other stuff

like rhizo,monstabud etc..

thanks again for the replys

not sure about the foliar, carboload says not to use as a foliar spray and only in the root zone, also if using any of the beneficial bacteria or even canna zym or sensi zym or any thing else like that be careful using h202 as it kills the microbes, both good and bad, and as said above carboload i think is as much for the life in the medium as it is for the plant.
