I would like some information about the drug speed.... If a person has been on speed for a while, then goes onto the methadone program can that person still take speed....because I had someone at my place and I could have sworn that she was speeding, as she wouldn't stop talking and always moving around (not keeping still)... I looked at her eyes but she had too much eyemakeup on to get a proper look..... My son tried to tell me she was straight and it was the Methadone.....I recon my son thinks Im stupid and that I believe everything he tells me...F...k I hate hard drugs

methadone isused to ween some one off heroin... ive never heard it being used for speed..

 

my guess is hes lying to you and she was speeding.. or pissed..

Some people react in a similar way to methadone as speed, well, not quite as much but definitely more active than "normal". It's a metabolism thing I think. Had a mate who was like that.

What Luke said is dead right, particularly first few times on methadone can make pple very much get up and go, would be easy for teh casual observer to mistakenly think the person was on speed when in fact they may well just be high on 'done ...

I have to agree with SS on this. The two drugs are very opposite. Although both will cause extreme thirst, you may notice the methadone causing the person to scratch themselves a bit more than would be normal. Speed (we call them tweakers here) is more of a frantic thing where they will start to become engrossed in things such as a junk drawer.

I hope that helps. Tweakers can be very paranoid and unstable.

what ever the drug, if she is tweaking out like that you dont want her around

i'd say more than likely you are right although heroin and methodone at some stage of the high can cause some users to act the way you described. i agree you dont need her around only get you in trouble either with the law or all your stuff will start to go missing........ not nice either way....

Thanks for all the info everyone has given me, the woman I was talking about has done heroin too and was right into the speed, I definately will not have her in my place again.
