Strain advice for first time grower

Hi everyone, just wanted some opinions on a strain as im planning on taking the big first step of deleting my dealers number and growing better quality smoke.

 

Bit of background info, i plan to make an extremely simple hydro setup for this. im not a huge smoker, just like a joint every now and then to relax from my stressful job. The grow will be to satisfy myself and a friend (smokes more than me, but still not an every day smoker).

 

What im after is really a strain that has a high quality smoke, can be flowered fairly short, and a flowering time on the quicker side would be highly favorable.

 

Im thinking of growing 2 plants to start with, which will hopefully give me a good buffer zone of buds before i set up another grow. if everything goes to plan, i would be doing the initial 2 plant grow and then maybe 4 or 5 single plant grows throughout the year.

 

So can someone suggest something that will fit my needs? Xpat seeds seem to come highly recommended around here, so i was thinking maybe M60 - The Pig or maybe Mr Nice G13 x hash plant.

 

Other suggestions? Price of seeds does not worry me at all, because i figure that will pay itself back in absolutely no time.

I think off the top of my head that it takes a while to finish...infact most hash plant X's do don't they? Anyone...?

I've looked at the Pig before too, looks nice.

Yes, maybe i was getting alittle ahead of myself there, i guess i included that strain because im looking for a really quality smoke. But perhaps i should get some growing basics down first before being so adventurous.

 

I think 6 or 7 weeks flowering time is what i would be mainly looking for in my first run. And something that is forgiving to the beginner grower.

I don't think that you will find many that finish less than 8 weeks flower and then you've got the veg time too...

 

Why not start with something good? If the sytem is setup properly and you pay attention to what's going on then you shouldn't have any unneccessary dramas. I'm doing my first run with White Russian (in the diary's) and I think it's going ok. Just look around at peoples grows and take note of the strains that are consistently good.

 

If you get the system right, and read a lot of info then you should go with what your heart desires...makes it more fun.

Heya bloke ..check out shiva skunk or american dream , both from Sensi seeds ... top smoko finishes in 45-50 days.... ... have grown shiva and its great all round

get yaself some celtic stone seeds

 

very good strain easy to grow and pretty hardy good female to male ratio and kick ass smoke

 

flower time is about 7-8 weeks though i think

 

they also have alot of hybrid strains as well so have a look around
