Why good ventilation is a must.

Recommended Posts

Why good ventilation is needed and what can happen when you dont have good air flow to help keep moisture down.

You will get a build up of moisture in the tight areas of the buds that dosent dry out with good air movement around the plants to help dry out those little moist spots and in time it can cause mold and Bud Rot ...

Ive had the same prob this week too. Has been raining on and off the last week and look what happened to my 2 main crowns( nearly as big as my fist lol ), they look fine on the outside but inside is a different matter. lol

Thi

s is week 7 of 8 week grow, if you have suspect high humidity you need to open up the bud and look inside lol .

Cheers,

Damn thats so sad to see Lads , i too had the same problem last year at around this time , had good ventilation , but the weather was lousy with constant rain like this week . Only lost 2 main colas of some Nirvana White Widow , so it wasnt a huge deal , i didnt like the Widow any way , it was too stinky in veg (Bad Body Odour)

I'm sitting at 50 % outside the room and 62% inside the room atm , but still vegging , so it wont be a drama for a while yet.

But like every thing , you get forgetful , to stoned perhaps lol , but you have reminded me to keep a constant eye on it , so thanks

Hey buddy.g from the look of those pics it was a bit more advanced than what i had mate.

Keep a good eye on ya buds as imo once bud rot starts it seems to spread, i will be going out to give my girls the once over again, just just kickin back and having a cone or 2 after doing me hours and will be going to give my girls a good going over again and will do the same every day until harvest time...

wow buddy, that bud looked awesome until you opened it up lol

i too have invested in damprid, those tubs dont really work well imo, but they have a pouch version that has a coat hanger bit up the top so you can hang it up which works wonders lol only downside to the hanging ones is that they are only good for a single use, the tubs on the other hand can be refilled lol
