hehheehheh... depends upon how many suicidal possums doing powerline gymnastics in your neck-o-the-weeds, don't it?

 

Some parts of this wide brown land, especially past the proverbial black stump, still have some rather ordinary mains reliability. One windy day and I can lose mains for 6-8 hours. Grr. You can see why I love my UPS. Got a propane genset for longer outages. Can run my fridge but not my op.

 

Admittedly, most ppl in Aus live in the big cities where power is more reliable, so my concerns are pretty narrow.
