Followed from the hydro shop.....

I'm sure you've heard the rumors of being followed home by the police, i always thought they would have something better to do like actually catch criminals.....

Today I went to a small little hydroponics store down a quiet street, didn't park directly outside the shop, just a few spaces down, went in had a chat to the very helpful and 100percent legit store owner on what system to use and settled on getting a 50 liter bag of coco and some nutrients. loaded up the car and headed 5 minutes down the road to the supermarket to get some supplies for lunch.

pulled out onto the main street and headed home (yeah, i now realise i shouldn't of went straight home but regardless they would of had my number plate for sure) as i pulled in a white unmarked ford falcon started giving it boot down the street until it must of seen i actually pulled into my house not taken the corner which is another house down. they must of been trying to hang as far back as possible if u understand what im saying.

Two Officers were both in blue overalls with the police "emblem" on the arm. they went past slowly and took the next corner.

 

Now if this isn't enough to make u extremely paranoid, i was out the back just thinking what the fuck to do when

i hear something out the front of my house, i peek through the curtain and see nothing, I then go and ask my missus if she heard something out the front and she said yeah the meter man just came and took our electricity reading (also she has no idea a grow was going to be started) so she just thought it was a guy from the electric company. and this happened within about 2 minutes of me pulling into my driveway and am certain it was the Bacon....

 

So where do u reckon I stand, im guessing they would probably wait a couple months to bust me, they managed to follow me home without me noticing but lucky for me they stuffed up and i noticed them

otherwise i would of set up and get growing then a few weeks later a knock on the door....

 

Anything i need to watch out for, electricity monitoring, phone taps etc

i doubt i will be growing again, I might forever be in there little black book.

 

By the way i live in Australia.

na wouldnt be doing anything i reckon. fark that..wait to see if you get a electricity bill dude and that will tell you wether or not it was the meter man. i know mine has just been read and i got my bill within a week of the reading. be carefull dude.

id be setting up the grow.. on a small scale.. and growing legit plants...

 

yeah takes about 5 days and youll receive the bill... a coincidence maybe... a good idea would be to put a padlock on the meter board... thatll stop those nasty piggies from taking a peek... if it was the pigs.. he might have been looking to see how fast the meter was spinning... blue overalls.. everytime ive been raided the dog squad has worn them...

 

no doubt from that.. they will give you a standard 10-12 weeks and theyll be there right in time for harvest..

 

but i would say theyll be coming sometime

I dont know if I'd be more worried about the cops or even worse ... could it possibly be someone watching the shop and following growers back to the motherload ... to break in sometime (10-12 weeks later... having checked the Elec meter to see it spining or not) and then nick the lot ... I think I'd be more worried about that and I wouldn't be risking starting a grow for a bit ..... at least till the lecy bill comes in as Sunnycoaster said .... and if Sukonmi is right .. and it sounds from what you've said .. thats a real possibility ... find somewhere to stash your setup away from your grow space and wait for a month or two before doing anything .... or am I just paranoid ..?

If you can, pass that info onto your hydro shop guys. They'll be interested to know that their customers are being harassed and might protect them better somehow.

 

The power company should know if the meters have been read lately, perhaps give them a call and ask?

If they say no, perhaps tell them that there was a fella at your meter board recently

while 99.999999% of the people who go into hydro shops are growers, that still doesnt give the police the right to follow you home and open an investigation. from what i have read and heard they are selling legal products and cant be treated any differently from other shops, but i gotta admit your experience does sound really suspect

 

personally i would ring the electricity company and find out if they have come to check your meter, if they havent, freak the fuck out, buy a padlock for the meter and most importantly dont grow mj until you have been raided. i would setup a small herb garden or something like that and when they come to raid you and find nothing, it will be a major blow to their investigation. i would also tell the hydro shop owner that because the police are watching his store, this will be your last visit and that he should have a sign in the window informing potential customers of what is happening.

 

on the other hand if the electricity company says they have checked the meter, i dont think you have anything to worry about and could start growing asap. hell by the sounds of it you'd be given 3 months before getting raided if the police were on to you so i would get a grow happening asap and try and get it harvest in like 11 weeks

yeah in my experiences it's usually the K9 squad or the fingerprint guys who wear the jumpsuits. I'm told that that is the standard issue uniform in NSW now though...

 

Anyhoo it would be enough to frazzle ya - Farkkkkk that brutha.....

The cances of the hydro guy putting a sign up that will possibly deter potential customers is slim imho WantDaChronic but I'd definitly be changing shops.

If our house has been flagged then they prolly will look for colaborating evidence as I don't think that a visit to a hydro shop is grounds for a search warrent - unless you have cultivation or manufacture criminal history, or your house/street is red hot with dealers or punters.

if you are really worried in a few days still I'd go with the tomatoes idea just to satisfy your doubts.

don't put a padlock on the meter, thats illegal in itself and may get you in trouble when the meter man really does come. besides its not going to help you.

 

it depends on whether or not you can afford to get busted. If I could deal with the consequences I'd keep it under 5 plants and if they raid ya pay the fine and pick up gear for the next grow on the way home from court.

 

but yeah I'd change hydro shops if the cops are hanging around that one...

 

if you don't want to risk getting busted SS idea is great, grow some tomatoes. imagine that, kicking in your door for some tomato plants, be good for comedy value if nothing else.

Thanks for the replies.

I haven't stopped thinking about it all day, im just thankful that the pigs fucked up and i actually noticed them, could of been alot worse if i never noticed them, im sure many people have been tailed home and wonder how the fuck they got busted.

So what do you think my chances of being raided are, i have no criminal record and never been in trouble with the police.

i am not going to be growing and will get rid off all my equipment.
