HELP

hey ozstoners,

 

i have been have'ing a really bad time trying to get clones going at the moment, they where rooted and where looking good then all of a suddon they wilted really bad and the leafs started went yellow all in a matter of a day

 

i lowered the light to a bout 2 foot above the humidaty dome just before they wilted?????

 

how much root should they have before you put them in a system

I would suggest if you lowered the light then they wilted straight after then that is your problem. Maybe raise the light up again and lower gradually over a number of days.

 

Also, if the clones are rooted, isn't it time to lose the humidity dome?

 

I assume you are feeding them a weak nute mix. Yellowing can either be nute burn/lockout or lack of nutes.

g'day; imo, humidity dome is waste of time, space and money.throw it out the door.

i've had average 90-95% success by only misting clones every few hours, keep top about 4" below fluoro tubes.

i've never needed humidity dome in Oz. Oz is quite humid enough.

spray either plain drinking water or nutrient mix as foliar feed, every time you visit your new clones.

(overspray will not harm fluoro tubes, DO NOT ALLOW HPS OR MH TO GET WET.)
