thanks im looking mainly to start growing outdoor and the spot i want to grow at is isolated but is a wreck any ideas?

Unless you are in the North Hem it's a bit late in the season for starting outdoor grows, indoor is really the only choice now.

If growing outdoors, make sure the soil is ph balanced, not too heavy or clayish its should be well prepared, with added compost, cow, horse or sheep manure with bit of blood and bone, and make sure its well drained, this is very important, one way to find out if its well drainned is to water heavy and if the water disappears nicely its seems to have good drainage, but if the water is still flooded above on the top of the grounhd, maybe you need to improve the drainage......

If growing in soils indoors in pots, I strongly suggest you to use 1/3 soil/compost mix or premium quality soil and 2/3 perlite/vermculture mix, they are worth the investment in my opinion they help the drainage, airflow for the roots and stops the soil getting to heavy and waterlogged. They will be better and healthier plants with better root system showing nice white colour in the roots.

When I was younger in my first ever plant growing indoors, used 100% soil, it grew bit slow, but ever since used perlite mix, they grew faster and better with strong roots and stems for the bud's support. lol

forgot to add one more thing....

If you prepared the soil in the ground with manure, etc etc and the soil is nice'n'rich, you probably wouldnt need much ferts when they are seedlings, maybe just use between 1/4-1/2 the fert's instructions/recommended doses, start small amounts then build up as the plants get older because there will be plenty of Nitrogen in the soil from the compost and manures, etc....
