Pruning question/idea...

Hey all,

 

Just a quick qustion.

 

Just say a plant was topped and had 10 nice branches on it, (~ a foot long), would snipping off all the little growth from the bottom 1/3 of the plant nodes to just bare branches help focus its energy into chunkier colas at the top?

 

Im thinking if its done just before flowering there wont be any pissy little buds to deal with.?

 

Would this work and what about its effect on yield? Any ideas?

removing the lower buds makes the larger upper ones grow even bigger and better in alot of cases it will make no difference to the overall yield, but instead of getting 10oz of bud, 8oz being good and 2oz being airy shit, you get 10oz of good bud

 

i personally dont think it should be done before 2 or 3 weeks into flowering though as you cant be 100% sure the stuff you are chopping away wont have a half ounce bud on it in a few weeks before then
