Drugs costing business billions

Recommended Posts

Maybe illegal drugs do sometimes result in absenteeism and reduced work performance but there is one massive factor that the prohibitionists have conveniently left out of their equation. What about the motivating effect of drugs? Not necessarily while you're on them but just any time, like the thought of having them. For example, I tend to be more relaxed at work when I know there's a good smoke to come home to. If you ask me that's an increase in work performance. What about people who work extra hours so they can score a bag of their favourite drug, whatever that might be, to use on the weekend? This motivating factor can be huge. It wouldn't surprise me if this latter factor was ten times more significant than the alleged reduction in productivity. But the prohibitionists do not use those facts because it doesn't suit their political objectives.

If you're going to talk about the substances themselves, alcohol would have to be the drug which takes the biggest effect of people in this way. Ever tried to get up for work after a late night and few drinks and it's almost impossible? You don't get that from pot. Some illegal drugs might have an after effect but not pot.

Then there is the issue of the motivation you can have while you are on drugs. But we are barred from this because it's illegal. Because our education and media is manipulated by vested interest prohibitionists and the victors of war write the history one of the biggest aspects to the First and Second World Wars has been suppressed. That is that everyone was on drugs. Tobacco, alcohol and hard drugs played a major role in both wars. Tobacco and alcohol played a part in both while cocaine was used in WW1. In WW2 Dexedrine and Benzedrine, close relative to methamphetamine, as well as the latter were standard issue to troops. It kept them awake all night in a fighting state and believe me these bigot prohibitionists wouldn't hesitate to change their tune and issue the same stuff to troops today if it came to war. By the end of WW2 the Nazis were experimenting with mixtures of cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin to use as "wonder drugs" that could keep people up marching all night long in the rain or work for endless hours in factories.

So this is all a lie. The only thing I worry about in this article is this line where they say that criminalisation is not the go and the tough prohibition policy is not working. It makes me suspect that they're paving the way to something else like universal workplace drug testing. What's govt up to this time?? lol
