the reason you will never get rid of the street dealers and harder drugs is that there is easy money to be made from selling pot. so naturally a lot of junkies move to nimbin and deal as a way to survive and support their habit. I don't see why this would ever stop as long as people keep buying pot in Nimbin.

 

I'm not suggesting the solution ot hte problem is a crackdown on pot in Nimbin. Of course the logical answer is legalisation.

btw I have noticed on my last couple of visits there have been a lot less street dealers around and a couple times I actually walked the length of the main drag and didn't get asked once, which is pretty unusual for Nimbin

Your right pipeman, the dealers are a shadow of what they used to be. I know I shouldn't say this but I'd love nothing more than to head up there, buy a small block of land and pay it off with some sweet pot I sold on the weekend.
