hydroponic warehouse on the gold coast sell 600watt light kits including the bulb and a choice of nova or adjusta wing shade for $230. lol

hey I just noticed I messed up the names here. Its not hydroponic warehouse its Nerang Hydroponic Centre where you can get the lights at this price.

hydroponic warehouse is in Brisbane. I used to go there but its a tiny little shop that keeps fuck all in stock and their pricing was on the expensive side. bongon told me they were running an add in the paper for 400watt bulbs for $35 tho. So maybe they've realised how much business they're losing and are trying to pick up their act. I like the old guy who owns it and kept coming back out of loyalty to him, but he hasn't been there last couple of times I've gone so I've given up on them for now. lol

I have been looking at Aussieponics on ebay also. I am only after a 250 watt setup (globe , ballast , holder) and it seems I can pick all this up for about $100 posted. This is a lot cheaper than my local, and besides the guy there wanted to sell me a 400w setup for nearly $300 bucks. Apparently the smallest he stocked.

If you read their feedback on ebay, it seems to be all good.

I am not keen on the paper trail left by buying through ebay, although they claim to keep all records of listings / buyers confidential. Untill the cops come with a warrant that is.

I am trying to pay cash for my setup, and thought about getting my mate (who has no interest in the green) to order / recieve it for me to throw the trail a bit.

Shopping in person would be great ,but I live in a small town and only one hydro shop to chose from makes ebay look very attractive.

I have done a bit of stuff( nothing to do with hydro) on ebay but gave it up as a bad joke. You can usually find the stuff cheaper with a bit of effort, that was my purpose originally , product researching, but i have to admit every now and again you find abolute bargains on ebay.

My advice if your buying hydro stuff get it sent to an alternative address, just as when you visit your local hydro shop , use someone elses car :).

Hows that for paranoia pipeman?? :punk:

I can't stand Ebay. Every time I use it, some moron pops in to raise the bids in the last 5 mins. No fucking thank you. Too easy to shill-bid and drive up the price.

eBay can be a great place to shop if you know how to do it and know what somethings worth.

Don't bid on an item you want - just watch it. Then open an ez-sniper account which is free for 3 winning snipes, and you put in the maximum you want to bid and it will bid automatically at the last moment to snag the item for you. Each snipe after the first 3 are about 25c per winning bid.

Highly effective if you are a patient shopper.

Good info Jimbo. I'm usually one of those "morons" that puts their top bid in the last minute! I find if you bid early your just going to entice others to outbid and if there is no bids on a bargain, don't be the first because you will be highlighting the bargain for others to bid on. This snipe sounds good Jimbo!

Your right about knowing how to use Ebay too Jimbo. Once you work out what an item is worth and what your willing to pay, wait till the last minute of the auction and bid your highest! Snagged a few items last week this way too, all which have arrived and were cheaper than retail.

Sorry Al B Fuct, but in Ebay as in life, NICE GUYS FINISH LAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
