Help please :)

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I've currently got 2 baby plants under fluros.

One's stretched a little more and seems to have started yellowing on the end.

The other, more stocky plant seems to be suffering from only I can hypothesize to be maybe light burn?

Probably light burn:

Yellowing tips:

Any help in what I can do to fix these babies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :scratchin:

It's not light burn, that's hard to get with CF's unless the light is actually touching the leaves, to avoid stretching fluoro's should be almost touching the plants but not in contact with them, I would say the most likely cause of your problem would be too much fertiliser.

Thanks for the help,

But in actual fact i'm yet to use any fert on the plants. I was told to wait until they became larger.

Aye Toms right the medium is hot - most use a seedling mix which has lss nutes.

so i'm gonna have to go get a PH testing kit?

You should not have to use any PH adjustments in compost - it's selfe adjusting with the many microbes do the job for you.

They are youngens with there first whatsy thing leaves still on. Dont have to do much yet exept procide sufficient light within the spectrum

all the best

So should I just add some compost from my compost bin, should that help?

Peace.

No mate, not from the compost bin outside, be very careful not to bring pests inside your grow room eg. fungus gnats, 2spot mite, whitefly.

When you repot, perhaps consider buying a bag of compost mix like humus plus or similar. Depending on the medium you choose to stick with for flower of course.

Good luck with it :scratchin:

I actually found the solution!

I figured that I was actually over watering the plants and this was causing them to turn a yellow colour at the tips.

I also have started using slow release fertilizer on the future mother plant (hopefully she's a she :peace:) and the two plants are really looking up!

I'll post some pictures shortly.
